What Our Patients Say
My knee started giving me trouble in late fifties.. After my retirement from university chair, gradually it became very difficult to walk. I had to take daily painkillers. When my son Dr. Shekhar came back after his training and advised me a TKR, I was also scared like other patients. The poor quality of life due to limited mobility forced me to accept TKR as a last resort. I insisted that my son himself operate me. I got my first knee done in March 2007 and walked within 24 hours. The operation was nowhere as painful as I had imagined. The results were there for everyone to see. I became more active and started driving my car within a month. With both the knees replaced, now I have lost almost 15-20 Kg as I became more active. I am now enjoying my mobility by taking my grandsons to gardens and zoos, and my daughter in law to shopping mall. I am walking daily more than3 km. It makes me very proud that my son has given me a new lease of life.Dr. Gireesh Sharma
